MS Plus, a leading provider of services and information for people living with multiple sclerosis and other neurological conditions, are on the path to halving their telco mobile spend over the next 3 years, following a review of their fleet of 256 mobile devices.
Cost benchmarking and analysis carried out by our industry analysts of 20 years, identified better pricing plans for the organisation, representing cost savings of over 50% of their telco expenses. In fact, so confident of the cost savings opportunity, we guaranteed MS Plus more than half of the identified savings potential, with a guaranteed ROI of 400%.

The Client
Since 1956, MS Plus have raised public awareness about multiple sclerosis and fought to improve the lives of people affected by it. Based in Victoria, New South Wales, Tasmania and the ACT, the organisation has over 60 years of insight into how to break down barriers, achieve goals and live well with multiple sclerosis. Their 300-strong team offers a wide range of emotional and practical support, from allied health, employment services and NDIS services to expert advice, wellbeing programs and peer support.
The Context
With a fleet of 256 mobile services, MS Plus needed to be confident they were getting the best possible pricing. We conducted a free telco analysis as part of pro bono Impact Round – Telco Cost Reduction. Our review of their mobile services revealed the potential for significant cost reductions over of a 36-month period, reducing the monthly spend on mobile services by more than 50%.
The Approach
What we did:
Benchmarked and identified ideal plans leveraging our analysis software and Telco BI.
Mapped and reviewed MS Plus' services and applied new plans.
Facilitated the implementation process, transitioning them to charity pricing with their existing vendor.
Monitored migration to new plans and reported to MS Plus each month on progress.
Confirmed all services were included in the migration.
Verified new pricing structure and billing.
Sought vendor credits where incorrect billing occurred.

Our initial, high-level analysis benchmarked the MS Plus pricing against three of the major telecommunications carrier’s pricing plans. We crunched the numbers and identified the potential for significant costs savings by transitioning to better mobile pricing plans.
We then reviewed their telco contracts and pricing and established the competitiveness of key vendors for mobiles. MS Plus’ existing services and usage were optimised to the most appropriate mix of plans, to maximise cost reduction opportunities.
Once MS Plus’ mobile plans had been mapped, we provided migration support, using our expertise with the vendors to fast-track the transition process. For visibility of the process, MS Plus received timely status updates on project progress.
We also provided a mid-project report to forecast the expected savings, and a validation report to demonstrate that all services had been transitioned correctly and savings achieved.
The Outcome
All mobile services for MS Plus were successfully transitioned to new plans and pricing with their existing provider. MS Plus are on-track to realise the projected savings. And the best part – MS Plus can keep costs and overheads to a minimum in these financially challenging times being experienced across the sector.
