Telstra raises HomeLine prices.

In a move that will thrill nobody, Telstra has announced that it is increasing the costs of its two premier fixed line services for residential customers, HomeLine Plus and HomeLine Complete. Monthly line rental for these services will rise by $1 each, to $30.95 and $28.95 respectively. Call rates will also increase. Flagfall (call connection) will change from 39c to 45c, while calls to mobile will move to 18c per 30 seconds, regardless of whether it is to a Telstra mobile or not.

It's hard to escape the conclusion that Telstra is determined to wring every last dollar it can out of its fixed line monopoly, before losing it to the NBN.
