Running from November 30th to December 2nd, the 2012 Commonground Festival celebrates the social change movement. It will feature two days and two nights of fantastic music, inspiring workshops and boundless fun. Enjoy fantastic music, delicious, locally-grown food and lovely, spacious bush campsites.
The musical line up includes Stephen Pigram (from the Pigram Brothers), The Woo Hoo Review, Sol Nation, Shaun Kirk, The Shivering Timbers, Lily & King, Eddie James and the Prowl, Nigel B Swifte, Jenny Biddle, and Benny Walker.
There will be workshops on activism, mindfulness, growing your own food, drumming and singing, as well as comedy, face and body painting, and more. The diversity of the programming and activities means that there is something for everyone. Excellence, variety and surprise are all key ingredients to the program. The Commonground Festival prides itself in producing a safe, inclusive and festive environment.
The event is a fundraiser for Commonground, a not-for-profit social enterprise/charity that supports social justice, environmental, disadvantaged and community groups. It does this through its venue, through its intentional community, and through its education and training organisation, the Groupwork Institute of Australia. All festival organisers are volunteers.
